Indianapolis Pagan Pride Day - September 27th, 2008

This year will be the 11th annual Pagan Pride Day held in Indianapolis, at beautiful Broadripple Park. Organizers are expecting approximately 1000 visitors to browse the vendors, information booths, workshops, rituals, and new art exhibit. Come explore for yourself, and meet others that share pagan pride in your community.

Indianapolis Pagan Pride Day will be held on September 27th, 2008, from 10am to 5pm. Admission is free, although you are encouraged to bring items to donate to this year’s sponsored non-profits. Canned goods will be donated to the Damien Center, cat food and supplies will be donated to Indy Feral, and new teddy bears will be donated to the Indianapolis Police Bears on Patrol program.

There will be close to thirty vendors, so bring some spending cash! There will be a wide variety of booths, from doggie massages and hand made soaps, to ritual supplies and clothing.

There will also be workshops and seven rituals throughout the day, so plan to say the entire day! A drumming circle will also be available, so bring your drum or percussion instrument and join in! There will also be a bardic circle to enjoy as well.

New to this year's festivities is the artist’s fair. Local artist’s work will be showcased and will also have art for purchase. There will also be an art contest, so don’t forget to vote!

If you have never been to Indianapolis Pagan Pride Day, it is suggested you wear comfortable shoes, and dress appropriately for the weather. Plan to stay all day, to experience as much as you can. This is a great place to meet new people and make contacts in the pagan community.

Indianapolis Pagan Pride Day was started in 1997, and was the first of it’s kind in the nation. Since then, Pagan Pride Day evolved into a national organization, with it’s grassroots in Indiana. Last year, there were 175 pagan pride day events across the nation.
