October Gathering
Fall is fast approaching and summer camping events are coming to a close. Make sure to mark your calendars for October third through the fifth for the last event of the season at Our Haven. This is the second year that the Indianapolis Witch's Meetup is hosting October Gathering, and this year, it's about family, fire and fun! We have events for all ages, so bring your family and friends, and come celebrate the coming of fall.
October Gathering will host a variety of events and classes for children of all ages, including fall games such as bobbing for apples, tug of war, and classes such as corn doll and leaf print making. For the adults, there is a scheduled druid walk, incense making, a drum class, a ghost hunt and more! The highlight of the event will be on Saturday with the Cast Iron Cook-off at 6pm and the burning of the Wicker Man at 8pm.
The cost of the event is $40 per person with an Our Haven membership, and $50 per person without membership, before September 9th. Children under 18 are always free with paid admission from parents and/or guardians. The schedule and presenters are subject to change up to the day before the festival, so keep updated on the most recent schedule at the October Gathering website at http://october.ourhaven.info.
There will be nightly drumming circles on Friday and Saturday night. For those of you new to Our Haven, drumming can last until dawn, so please be aware.
